From Body Shutdown to Miraculous Healing Through Prayer: Trevan Wong’s Incurable Disease Recovery

Hospital scene of miraculous healing through prayer leading to incurable disease recovery and faith over medicine

The story of miraculous healing through prayer begins with Trevan Wong, an athletic and independent art director in his late 60s, whose ordinary morning took an unexpected turn.

What started as a simple lazy breakfast of instant noodles would soon reveal the onset of symptoms that led to his incurable disease recovery.

As he tried to swallow, the food stuck in his throat, choking him, and even after pulling it out and trying again, the issue persisted. His speech had been slurring oddly during a recent meal with friends, but he brushed it off as a glitch. Little did he know, this was the beginning of a terrifying journey that would test his body, mind, and ultimately prioritize faith over medicine to its limits.

Trevan, a self-reliant man used to solving problems on his own, headed to a walk-in clinic. What unfolded next would reveal a dire health crisis, but also set the stage for a miraculous healing through prayer that defied medical explanation.

The Crisis of Incurable Disease

At the clinic, the doctor ran basic tests, squeezing hands, eye checks, and delivered a grim assessment. “She said, oh, she’s not sure, but it seems like you may have one of three conditions,” Trevan recalls.

The possibilities were Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS), multiple sclerosis (MS), or myasthenia gravis, all incurable, progressive illnesses that could imprison him in his body. Symptoms like slurred speech, double vision, and swallowing difficulties matched these diagnoses, evoking images of Stephen Hawking for Trevan.

“I saw myself in a wheelchair,” he admits.

Sent straight to the emergency room, Trevan underwent blood tests and waited overnight. Doctors confirmed the suspicions, referring him to a neurologist for further evaluation. A marker in his blood pointed to myasthenia gravis, the “best” of the bad options, manageable but not curable.

Over the next months, his body deteriorated: weakness spread, breathing became labored, and acute attacks loomed. For 28 years, Trevan had battled unexplained symptoms from youth, but now it escalated. Medications helped temporarily, but the disease progressed, leaving him in constant pain and dependency.

Medical professionals offered no hope for reversal.

“They messed up so many times… ended up having 28 years going back and going back then,” Trevan shares, highlighting the frustration of conflicting opinions and ineffective treatments. His once-athletic life crumbled, pushing him toward a future of wheelchairs and managed decline.

Divine Intervention Amid Despair

That fateful night in the ER, divine timing intervened in an unexpected way. Distracted from his own fears by a woman’s agonized screams nearby, a burn victim in excruciating pain, Trevan felt compelled to act. Despite his uncertainty, he prayed fervently for her relief.

“I was super passionate… it was a prayer that was very, very, very heartfelt,” he says.

Moments later, her screams stopped; she sat up peacefully, stunning the ward. This event, though not directly tied to his healing, ignited a spark of faith, showing Trevan the power of prayer in real time.

As his condition worsened post-discharge, Trevan faced acute episodes. One attack left him unable to breathe or swallow properly, requiring emergency intervention. Yet, amid the chaos, subtle divine nudges appeared, like his distraction in the ER, pulling him from self-pity into compassion. These moments hinted at a greater plan, preparing him for the breakthrough ahead.

The improbability of events piled up. Trevan’s journey, spanning decades of missteps, suddenly converged on a path where faith could intervene.

Doctors couldn’t explain the rapid shifts, but Trevan sensed God’s hand guiding him through the storm.

Miraculous Healing Through Prayer

Trevan’s faith, though present, he attended church regularly, wasn’t deeply relied upon until now. Pain became his catalyst: “Pain is a real pain… Pain will get you on your knees pretty quickly prayer,” he reflects. In desperation, he turned to God fully, rejecting self-reliance.

Community support surged. Friends, church members, and even strangers rallied, though not as globally as some stories. Trevan shared his struggle, inspiring prayers from those around him. Specific spiritual actions marked his path: he attended healing services, received prayers from believers, and immersed in scripture.

“Bible. Everything you do together,” he notes, emphasizing faith’s role in daily life.

His resolve strengthened through doubt. Voices whispered failure, but Trevan pushed back, building unshakable belief. “You have to make a decision… no room for doubt,” he insists. This collective and personal faith effort created a foundation for the miraculous healing through prayer.

The Turning Point in Incurable Disease Recovery

After months of worsening symptoms and medication dependency, Trevan reached a breaking point. In a hotel room during a trip, he prayed with fierce determination, claiming healing.

“I actually made a point of claiming my healing… It’s a belief that you’re healed and that it’s not coming back,” he explains. Instantly, symptoms vanished, swallowing normalized, speech cleared, weakness lifted.

Doctors dismissed it as a fluke initially, but tests confirmed: blood markers normalized, no trace of disease. “I have no idea how to explain that… right near the heart,” one said. Trevan called it resurrection through faith; medics labeled it “complete remission.”

This pivot contrasted skepticism with divine certainty, marking his incurable disease recovery.

Recovery and Transformation Through Faith

Post-prayer, Trevan’s physical recovery was swift and complete.

He discarded medications, embracing life without symptoms for over two years. Rehabilitation wasn’t needed; his body rebounded fully. “How long has it been without medication and without symptoms… two, two and a half years,” he shares.

The greater miracle was spiritual.

Once self-dependent, Trevan transformed, prioritizing God. His relationships deepened, rooted in daily prayer. Lighthearted now, he jokes about past athletic mishaps but turns serious on purpose: “I was given a new life, a new purpose.”

Challenges lingered, doubt crept back briefly, symptoms returned when faith wavered. But recommitting solidified his incurable disease recovery, turning pain into testimony.

Trevan’s neurologist, bound by science, couldn’t declare a cure: “She’s not allowed to say I’m cured because it’s incurable.” Yet, she acknowledged the anomaly. This stunned professionals, opening doors for faith discussions.

Trevan hopes his story inspires: “God’s promises are true… Your disbelief is the only thing that can stop you.” He urges bold prayer, especially for ALS or myasthenia sufferers, emphasizing faith over medicine.

The miracle’s significance? It proves divine power today, transforming despair into hope. For those facing impossibility, remember: no diagnosis is final when faith intervenes.

Share this testimony, let it ignite belief in others. Seek God; expect the impossible.
