God’s fingerprints are in the sequence itself. Ross noticed it the first time he read the chapter with a scientist’s eye.
“This is the only holy book I’ve looked at amongst the religions of the world that described all the creation events correctly and put them all in the correct chronological order.”

“These are all scholars,” Ross said. “As soon as I walked in, they were screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs.”
The spirits did not mutter ordinary curses. They accused Jesus of grotesque evil. “They’ve never met me before, but somehow the demon there knew that the Holy Spirit was with me, and it basically threatened them.”
Faith for Ross is not a sticker placed on a slide deck. It is the same Presence that made a hostile hall flinch and that first opened Genesis to a teenager who had already scanned the sacred books of other religions.
After the earlier studio conversation, a web of intercession took a different shape than hospital vigils. Churches, comment threads, and midnight readers sent questions instead of flowers. They wanted to know if they could trust the telescope and the text at the same time.
That hunger became its own kind of prayer chain.
The Turning Point Hidden in the Creation Days
The first sign of breakthrough sits in a short word. Yom, day, carries four literal meanings: the daylight hours, a 24-hour cycle, a season or year, and a long finite age.
Genesis uses more than one. “Evening was, morning was” closes each of the first six creation days, marking a real start and a real finish. The seventh day has no such close. Psalm 95 and Hebrews 4 say we are still in that rest. Romans 8 says it will not end until the full number of the redeemed is complete.

“It’s not like God tried the first time, made a mistake.”
Their brains were shaped like a can, their stone tools never changed, their jaws were built for raw food. Human brains are globular, crowded with extra complex neurons. Our weaker jaws force us to cook, and that so-called weakness frees us to talk, calculate, and love while we eat.
Teenage boys, he grinned, can finish a day’s calories in about eight minutes. Gorillas need hours.
The greater miracle is not only a reconciled calendar. It is a recovered sight of a God who packed the planet with life and then made a creature who can thank Him for it.
Ross even keeps a light touch about the genetics. In parts of Asia he is told to wear long sleeves so the hair on his arms will not earn him a Neanderthal nickname, then to show his bald head. The joke lands because the science under it is sober.
Anatomically modern humans are a distinct creation.
No Lab Report Has the Final Word
Ross does not share the story to collect debate trophies.
He shares it so laboratories and pulpits that have declared the case closed might leave a window open. Astronomers already study the six creation days in deep time. Field biologists work on the seventh day, when God has ceased making new kinds. Pastors do not have to fear fossils. Scientists do not have to fear Genesis.
