Healing the Land: A Gatekeeper’s Miraculous Battle Against Demonic Strongholds in Canada

Serene Canadian landscape with ethereal light breaking through clouds, symbolizing healing the land from demonic strongholds

The crisp air of Canada carried an unseen weight, a spiritual heaviness that Miriam Wakefield, a devoted follower of Christ, felt deep in her bones upon healing the land.

Originally drawn to combat human trafficking, she soon sensed a greater calling stirring within her.

As she walked the vast landscapes, from bustling ports to quiet indigenous lands, a divine whisper revealed the hidden crisis: the land itself was groaning under curses, opened through centuries of unrepented sin.

Miriam, now a self-proclaimed gatekeeper for Canada, stood at the forefront of this invisible war.

With her background in Torah study and intercessory prayer through Lydia Fellowship International, she faced a nation unknowingly bound by demonic strongholds.

What began as a personal journey transformed into a mission to usher in healing the land, closing spiritual gateways to darkness and inviting the Holy Spirit’s light.

The Spiritual Crisis Gripping Canada

Canada’s beauty masks a profound spiritual affliction, one rooted in historical wounds that have defiled the earth.

Miriam explains that the land, like a living being, absorbs the sins of its people, opening spiritual gateways for demonic influence. These entry points, physical sites like shipping ports and airports, become conduits for evil when tainted by idolatry, broken covenants, the shedding of innocent blood, and sexual deviancy.

In Canada, the shedding of innocent blood cries out loudest.

From the tragic deaths of First Nations children in residential schools to modern practices like abortion and Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID), the blood demands justice, echoing the biblical story of Cain and Abel.

“His blood cried out for justice,” Miriam notes, drawing from Genesis

Broken treaties with First Nations, where the British Crown seized lands and shattered promises, further cursed the ground. “We took the land away from First Nations and claimed it for our own,” she says, likening it to moving a neighbor’s boundary stones, a grave Old Testament offense.

Professionals and everyday Canadians feel this oppression unknowingly. Drug epidemics in places like Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, widespread depression, and societal divides stem from these demonic strongholds.

Doctors might diagnose mental health issues, but Miriam sees deeper: “Oppression comes over the people… it will affect everybody, whether you’re believers or non-believers.”

Divine Intervention in Hidden Gateways

God’s hand moved swiftly in Miriam’s life, redirecting her from anti-trafficking work to this gatekeeping role.

“The Lord got me here under false pretenses,” she recalls with a chuckle, explaining how He revealed spiritual gateways across Canada. In one dark northwest gateway in British Columbia, He pinpointed the ruling spirit as death and Hades, tied to shedding innocent blood and broken covenants.

Divine timing marked her interventions. Invited to a massive Zoom gathering with over 1,000 First Nations leaders, Miriam stood in the gap for the United Kingdom and the Crown. Her confession and repentance transcended mere apologies, addressing crimes against humanity.

“It is confession and repentance to repent to First Nations for the things that we had done,” she emphasizes.

This act began closing spiritual gateways, disempowering demonic forces with improbable precision.

In Hyderabad, India, a foundational experience, God showed her idolatry’s defilement when her water bottle shook over contaminated ground. “The land must be healed before the people can be healed,” He revealed, providing a prayer strategy that a divinely sent visitor from Singapore carried out.

Faith and Prayer: Standing in the Gap

Miriam’s faith ignited a collective response, drawing intercessors to battle for healing the land.

Rooted in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people… humble themselves and pray… then I will heal their land” her strategy demands humility and action. She gathers women through Lydia Fellowship, training them to hear God’s voice and pray corporately.

Community support amplifies the effort. In British Columbia, a born-again First Nations hereditary chief partnered with her, using his authority to shut demonic gates. “He had the spiritual authority to shut that gate of death and Hades,” Miriam shares. Global prayer networks, inspired by her teachings, join in fasting and seeking God’s face, breaking curses through unified intercession.

Emotional resolve shines in her words: “The Lord has called me to battle in the land. I’m a land girl. I’m in the land army of God.”

Biblical practices, like wielding the sword of the Spirit, ground their prayers, fostering forgiveness and release among divided groups like settlers and First Nations.

Breakthrough in the Spirit and a Move to Healing the Land

The first glimmers of change came dramatically, contrasting skepticism with faith’s triumph.

In British Columbia’s gateway, after confession and repentance, nature itself testified to the shift. “Whales jumped in the sea, three gray whales,” Miriam recounts. Then, 60 deer lined the road at dusk, evoking Isaiah 60: “Arise and shine for your light has come.” An eagle soared alongside their car, symbolizing prophetic breakthrough.

Doctors and officials might label such events coincidence, but Miriam knew: “Nature was responding to the confession and the repentance.”

This turning point lifted oppression, allowing the Holy Spirit to flood in where demonic strongholds once ruled.

Recovery and Transformation: Restoring Canada's Soul

Healing the land unfolds gradually, with challenges like ongoing intercession and reconciliation. In revived areas, ministries flourish, people return to church, healing services begin, and communities mend.

“There’s a great move of the Holy Spirit upon the people,” Miriam observes of post-breakthrough British Columbia.

The greater miracle lies in non-physical shifts: restored relationships between First Nations and others, broken spirits mended, and addictions loosened. In Downtown Eastside, rooted in historical alcohol and opium spirits, transformation promises a Holy Spirit outpouring. Miriam jokes about the land’s “sickness” returning if ignored, but her stories highlight joy, freedom from depression, renewed purpose. “It lifts off oppression and depression off the people, off the land, and sets people free,” she says.

Her own growth, from India to Canada, reflects this: “You grow and you grow in supernatural intercessory prayer.”

Inspiring a Nation to Rise

Skeptics, including those in government who offer mere apologies, witness the inexplicable.

“The government said sorry… but it’s beyond sorry,” Miriam insists. Professionals in affected areas see revivals they can’t explain, prompting questions about spiritual realities.

Miriam hopes her story awakens Canadians, especially leaders and those in crisis, to seek healing the land. “If you have a heart’s desire to pray and intercede at a level that is different, come and join,” she invites. For everyday people, it means freedom from unseen oppression, brighter futures unbound by demonic strongholds.

This miracle underscores a faith-driven truth: No curse is final when confession and repentance prevail. Share this testimony, seek God for your land, and watch spiritual gateways open to heaven’s flow.
